What is the average timeline for an HDB renovation, from key collection to handover?

A clear timeline is essential for a stress-free move-in. At SG Livinghub, we typically complete projects within 12 to 20 weeks, depending on the complexity and type of your flat. Our process is divided into two distinct phases:

  • Phase 1: Design & Planning (4–6 Weeks)
    This is the “brain” of the project. We finalize your layout, create detailed 3D renderings, and help you select materials from our extensive local library. This phase also includes the HDB permit submission, which can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks for approval.
  • Phase 2: On-Site Renovation (8–14 Weeks)
    Construction begins once permits are secured.
    New BTO Flats (8–10 weeks): Since these units are “blank slates,” the focus is on efficient carpentry installation, lighting, and painting.
    Resale Flats (10–14 weeks): These require more time for labor-intensive hacking, masonry, and the complete replacement of old plumbing or electrical wiring.
